Quicksilver organises quality running events which allow entrants to participate in enjoyable races with the potential to perform at the top of their ability.
Our current portfolio covers distances from 10k to half marathon.
All races organised by Quicksilver running are on professionally measured courses certified by the Association of UK Course measurers. The races are run under licence from the UKA.

MEET THE TEAM
KBC Special Events limited was formed in 2003 to manage a number of corporate sports events including The Property Football Cup, the Construction Rugby 7’s and a series of industry sector 5 a side tournaments.
Subsequently it also managed a number of Business to Business events in the healthcare sector including the IHA Secure and Specialist Care series.
In 2013 we launched our first running event, the Harry Hawkes 10 miles. This quickly led to the development of the new Hampton Court Half Marathon in February 2014, which instantly became one of the major half marathon races in the area.
Further development of the KBC race calendar saw the RBK 10 mile race in October 2015 which became the RBK Half Marathon in autumn 2016.
Over this period KBC gradually withdrew from its non-running activities. In 2018 we are organising 5 races, with the Hampton Court Half, The Royal Borough of Kingston Spring Half, the Harry Hawkes 10, the Ditton Dash 10k and the Royal Borough of Kingston Half Marathon (October). Further developments are planned for 2019.
Now that we are completely focussed on organising running events, KBC decided to look for a new brand name which better reflected what we do. Quicksilver, also known as Mercury, was the winged messenger within Roman mythology and is synonymous with speed and travel over great distances. We thought this god would be a great representative for our company.
